Can you tell us about your role at HPNow — what you do and what your typical day looks like?
As sales lead in the industrial sector there are many activities I need to undertake to generate profitable sales for the company. As well as lead generation and business development, I have customer review meetings and technical and commercial discussions to undertake with customers whilst communicating customers’ thoughts, issues and needs back to our HQ in Copenhagen. With a supportive network back at base surrounding technical knowledge, this gives me the opportunity to create proposals and offers for the customer aligned to their needs and requirements, which I follow through to completion.

Can you share a bit about your background and how your career path led you to HPNow?
I have spent the last 25 plus years in and around the industrial market, with the last half within industrial water treatment products. Having a good foundation with mechanical engineering during that time it has allowed me to be involved in a multitude of different markets, industries and applications which has given me the depth of experience I feel I have now. Also, during this time, I have grown from servicing local areas to my home and then the UK and Ireland and into a European role over the last 6 years or so and have enjoyed the learning experience that this personal and career growth has given me.
What excites you most about HPNow’s technology and its potential impact?
There are many exciting benefits about HPNow’s technology, GOgenâ, that has the potential to make a huge difference in the water treatment market. One of my main reasons for getting involved with HPNow and the technology was that it contributes beautifully to a circular water economy by using natural elements of water & air coupled with electricity to generate a powerful oxidant which turn back into its natural state after it’s conducted its duties, so a safe and sustainable solution and great for the planet. I’m also proud that we are still the only commercial option for this technology globally too, making it an attractive and valued proposition.
How do you see the water treatment industry evolving in the coming years, especially in terms of sustainability?
With a growing global population and decreasing fresh water supplies, I see an increasing number of end users embarking on innovative water reuse projects or novel ways to recycle water for industrial processes. This seems to be driven from two directions, social change and a need to be more mindful of our environment and resources. Secondly, from local authorities imposing regulations and licenses on water extraction, usage and discharge of their wastewater streams. This can only benefit us at HPNow with our sustainable and chemical free input, onsite peroxide generation solution that’s plays into a water reuse or recycling project very well.
Could you share a recent highlight or achievement you’re particularly proud of in your career?
I have many exciting highlights to share from my career, but one that stands out was leading & winning a seven-figure contract for a Global Semi-conductor Manufacturer. During this time the original contractor was removed halfway through, and we had to establish building relationships with a new contractor, this required dedication, perseverance and patience amongst other attributes to bring home a deal. Equally, I love and gain satisfaction from developing a customer who has never heard of your product before and nurturing the relationship into a strong and loyal partner, this makes me proud and happy of a job well done.
Outside of work, what are you passionate about or enjoy doing in your free time?
During my free time I can usually be found on the trails as I’m a keen Trail and Ultra runner, having completed many distances including 50 miles, 100km and most recently a 100-mile race. I am also an amateur astronomer, and I enjoy tending to my newly grown herb garden, in addition to a love of cooking. I relish spending time outdoors with my family, who share many of my passions. Travel and music complete the list to keep me occupied and relaxed in equal measures.
